I have only just ‘discovered’ William Croft, the composer, by listening to a performance online, of his ‘Sonata in D Minor Fugato’.for Violin. I will purchase a recording of it. As a decendant of a, ‘ William Croft ‘ discovered ,during my family history quest, and born 1811, I was disappointed to learn that William the composer, had died childless.
There are two further, William Henry Croft’s, one, a listed Violin maker, of Birmingham, and musical instrument restorer, and my father, William George Croft.
